We are happy to recommend A&J Woodworking to anyone considering new cabinetry. Arnie did a kitchen in our former house 20 years ago, and when we decided to remodel, we knew we wanted A&J again. The first kitchen we did was in an old farmhouse. We went first to a kitchen cabinet store and then a friend showed me her kitchen and suggested we at least get an estimate from A&J. Because we were working with an old house, the kitchen store would have used filler pieces and was planning several compromises. The custom kitchen A&J planned fit without compromise, and the estimate was very close to that of the kitchen store. The result was a beautiful oak kitchen. When I last saw it three years ago, it was as beautiful as it was when it was installed.
A&J just finished a new cherry kitchen for us. In addition to the cabinetry, they put maple hardwood flooring throughout 1/3 of our house. The entire project went like clockwork. We knew our choices and costs at every stage. Arnie met every deadline, as did the contractors he worked with to complete the project. The cabinets are beautiful and finished with great attention to detail. We were so impressed with the installers, who worked painstakingly to assure that everything was level and perfectly fit.
A&J takes great pride in their workmanship. They are honest and ethical. We have recommended them to several people through the years, and none of those people have been disappointed in their work. Their work recommends itself.

Most important aspects of a contractor we consider is quality of work, design ideas, someone who is excited about what they do and do they show up when they say they are. A&J had it all. My kitchen cabinets and counters are exactly like the ones in the picture I gave to them. Job was done on time, they worked to accommodate our work schedule so we could be there during install. Job went very smooth. Previously A&J had installed cabinets in a bathroom, I love my kitchen but, our master bathroom is our favorite room in the house. People walk in and the comments have been WOW! and it looks just like a luxury hotel. It’s the kind of room you walk in and want to stay awhile.

Our first experience with A&J Woodworking was 15 years ago when we finished our basement, including a kitchen area. We were very impressed with the outcome so when it came time to update our main kitchen 2 years ago we never considered anyone else. Arnie is very easy to work with and has a very creative mind. He suggested things we would never have thought of. We kept our existing cabinets and A&J added under cabinet lights and trim to the upper cabinets and added an additional cabinet to our island. The new pieces match exactly to the old making it look like it was all built together. They also installed granite countertops that are beautiful! I would highly recommend A&J Woodworking.
