Custom Cabinetry

Our hand-made cabinetry is made for you…made to last

In the past, all cabinets were made to last. Skilled cabinet makers would handcraft solid wood to create cabinetry that stood the test of time. But with the invention of factories and box stores, quality eventually gave way to convenience, and hardwood gave way to particle board. Many factory-grade cabinets assembled today barely last a decade of use.

At A&J Woodworking, we believe in bringing back quality craftsmanship and use only fine hardwoods with finished birch plywood interiors. We know how important your cabinets are to the look and feel of your home. Solid hardwood alone can bring the art of the old-world back into a kitchen, bathroom, office, or other living space. And unlike factory made cabinets, fine hardwood can withstand decades of use.

Of course, hand-made, quality cabinetry means you’re not confined to the styles of a machine. Instead, your unique tastes can be incorporated into the design. Our craftsmen are experienced in building today’s styles, whether you’re looking for traditional, old-world, craftsman, or contemporary.

We encourage you to take some time to think about your needs. Take into consideration any storage needs and seating requirements. Explore our website, visit our showroom, or start a digital scrapbook on Houzz or Pinterest. Since we build your cabinets according to your specifications, you can incorporate a variety of ideas from many sources and make them uniquely yours.

Custom made cabinetry has so many options for you to choose from:

  • Wood
  • Stain color
  • Hardware
  • Countertops
  • Accessory items
  • Style, design, and function

Additionally, using elements such as inset doors, beaded moldings, or decorative carvings, our cabinetmakers create the look you desire.

Our woods include oak, hickory, maple, cherry, alder, and more for you to choose from. Our cabinet makers sand each cabinet thoroughly by hand, and our finishers take pride in applying a smooth, durable finish. You may choose from stain, paint, glaze or a combination of finishes to create your own unique colors.

Our demand for quality not only goes into the wood cabinets themselves, but into the high-quality glides, hinges, and hardware we carry. We truly want to create a work of art that is both beautiful and practical.
